success story

Alex Sanchez

As a senior at Old Mill High School, Alex Sanchez came to AAWDC to participate in IEC Chesapeake’s Pre-Apprenticeship training, hoping to launch his career as an Electrical Helper. From the start, Alex approached the program with enthusiasm and a strong work ethic, often assisting his peers along the way. His commitment paid off—he earned the second highest grade in his class and was the first among his classmates to secure employment. Within two months of completing the training, Alex began working as an Electrical Helper at Bausum & Duckett Electric.
